The Chelsea Flower Show wraps up on Saturday afternoon and while tickets are now sold out, there are plenty of other horticultural activities taking place as part of Chelsea Fringe (my favourite is the cemetery for house plants). Alternatively, simply wander the streets of Chelsea and enjoy Chelsea in Bloom – this year’s theme is fairy tales and you can even join the Mad Hatter for a Pimm’s in Duke of York Square!
There’s a different kind of garden over in East London, with Gin Mare and the Hoxton creating a Mediterranean Botanical Garden. Drop by from 8pm each night until Saturday for a mango and black pepper G&T, an Onion Gimlet with Parmegiano Reggiano cheese cordial or the perfect martini.
If you want to do good while you have a good time, check out the Hear No Evil Festival at London Fields Brewery on Sunday. Every penny raised will go towards Macmillan Cancer Support. There’ll be music, comedy and beer – sounds like a great day out! Tickets are £15 online.
