The annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race will be taking place on Saturday from 5.50pm, with the women kicking it off on the Tideway for the first time an hour earlier at 4.50pm. The race starts by Putney Bridge and ends at Chiswick Bridge. Check out the best viewing spots here.
If you’re after something more novel, the Oxford and Cambridge Goat Race will be on at the same time as the Boat Race. Two goats (one representing each university) go head to head, with all proceeds going to Spitalfields City Farm. Tickets are available online for £12 but selling out fast!
The Old Truman Brewery will be hosting the Renegade Craft Fair all weekend, showcasing a thoughtfully curated selection of the finest independent makers from the UK and beyond. Attendees can shop, participate in DIY workshops, and explore installations and activities with some of the best indie Makers around. Entry is free!
Also at the Old Truman Brewery, it’s your last chance to see The Art of the Brick before it closes on Sunday. The exhibition features more than 100 pieces of Nathan Sawaya’s Lego art, including interpretations of classic art and some very cool original designs. If you have children (or don’t mind being around a whole lot of them), this is well worth checking out!
